'Blue Design Shed was established in 2014 by me, Bex Burston. My love of Applied Arts has led over the years to experimentation with everything from ceramics, photography and cake decorating to bookbinding, but I have settled on mostly working with glass and textiles, and occasionally wood and metal.

 

I sketch ideas, cut fabrics, copper and glass and paint my work in my shed, accompanied and sometimes assisted by my cockapoo, Monty. I fire my work overnight in my kilns in the shed. First thing in the morning, I get to open it and see what time and heat have created. I am am a member of the Contemporary Glass Society.'
